This gem silica sagenite pendant necklace is set in sterling silver with 14k solid gold accents — a one-of-a-kind piece featuring one of the rarest forms of chalcedony in the world.

Gem silica — also called chrysocolla chalcedony — gets its extraordinary vivid color from copper minerals saturating colorless chalcedony. This stone is a deep, saturated teal blue at the top, shifting to hints of green toward the bottom, with delicate needle-like sagenite crystal inclusions visible within. There are very few stones like it.

The elongated oval cabochon sits in a smooth sterling silver bezel, with a row of seven 14k solid gold dots framing the bottom of the setting and a 14k solid gold bail at the top. The chain is a rounded sterling silver box chain, 16” with a 2” extender, wearable between 16” and 18”.
